Initiated in 1986 with the kora, Nathalie regularly perfected her art in Africa with famous masters thanks to the support of the Arts Council of Canada and the Council of Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec. Specializing in the repertoire of traditional music of West Africa, for several years she was a member of the group Takadja ( Juno Awards1996 ) and regularly accompanies musicians dedicated to musical Mandingo culture. Since 2004 she perform on stage her compositions under the alias of Nathalie Cora and works at an amazing discography including Raoul Duguay , Diane Dufresne , the Cirque du Soleil , Sébastien La-combe , the Chango Family , Claire Pelletier , Paul Horn and many others. Active in several musical projects, including Nathalie Cora & Friends, she is also an actress and puppeteer for the play Baobab , which has been given more than 650 times to date in Canada, China, Mexico, Spain and the United States. Graduated with a Bachelor of Plastic Arts from UQAM (1994), she manufactures her koras, as well as masks and other 3D objects on command.
